Platform Kids

Platform Kids Website: http://www.platformkids.org.au/
Was established by a group of caring Western Australians deeply concerned about the plight of children worldwide. Upholds the rights of children everywhere to the basic needs of love, shelter, nourishment, health, education, safety and freedom from exploitation. Flatly refuses to use the magnitude of the horror of suffering children as an excuse for inaction. Has a solid program in place rescuing and rehabilitating homeless children found begging on railway stations in Andhra Pradesh, India. Devises fund raising activities that will ensure a steady flow of cash into the programme

Salvation Army

Salvation Army website: http://www.salvos.org.au/
We’ve all driven past our local ‘Salvos’- but it’s unlikely most of us know the vast extent of the good work this international organisation does. The Salvation Army runs employment classes, suicide hotlines, professional counselling, emergency services, English speaking classes and more. Established in Australia over 125 years ago, they were established originally
in the 19th century in the UK. According to their website: “part of The Salvation Army's mission involves meeting human need wherever it occurs - without discrimination.”
